No. Banded is not a store. There’s no shop, cart, or checkout, and Banded never sells tobacco or helps you purchase it. It only helps you remember cigars you’ve already chosen to enjoy.

Yes. Banded is only for adults of legal smoking age (21 in the United States (or the legal smoking age where you live)). It isn’t designed for or directed at minors.

When you scan, the band image is sent to our identification provider (Google’s Gemini API) to recognize the cigar, and the result comes back to you. That’s the only place a scan travels. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Yes. Every profile is private and your scans are yours by default. Nothing is shared unless you choose to share it, and even then only with friends you have both accepted. There is no public feed.

Yes. Your Collection is stored to your account and syncs across your devices, so it’s safe even if your phone isn’t.

You can delete individual scans in the app at any time. To delete your whole account and all associated data, use the in-app option where available, or email us at support@bandedcigars.com and we’ll take care of it promptly.

You find someone by their @username and send a request. Nothing is shared until you both agree — no scans, no counts, nothing. Once you are friends, scans you mark as shared appear in a private feed for the two of you. You can unfriend at any time.
